I am so blessed to have such amazing friends and family that went to great lengths to make my birthday so incredible! For my birthday day I had the morning off school to have a birthday breakfast, with champagne of course.
I opened all of my presents and cards, including a beautiful daisy pandora ring from my mum and step dad, and then got ready to go to school. I got to see all of my friends and had cake with them and they bought me a really sparkly bead for my Lovelinks bracelet. After that my mum, my sister and I went to The Salthouse down at the docks to have more champagne and chips! We then all went home to get ready for dinner where we went to Trongs, a chinese restaurant, where we met up with my dad and step mum. The meal was fantastic! My dad and step mum had bought me another Lovelinks bead with 18 and my beautiful Olivia Burton watch that I am in love with! After dinner we all went home and had cake. A great end to a great day.
On the Saturday night of that week my mum had told me that we were going out to dinner with my autie, uncle and cousins but she didn’t tell me where she just said it was a surprise and that I had to dress up fancy. So I did and then my mum insisted on blindfolding me as we drove to the place, but I agreed because my mum is quite a dramatic woman and likes to play things up. So I let her have her moment. She then guided me out of the car and into the place. I felt a camera flash on me before my mum pulled the blindfold off the reveal all of my friends and family shouting “SURPRISE!!!!” followed by a sing-along to ‘happy birthday’.
I was completely gobsmacked! I looked around and could see everyone! All of my school friends, my musical friends, my work friends, my dad’s family and friends, my mum’s family and friends. My Nana was even there, along with my Aunty and Uncle who live 6 hours away in Devon. I burst into tears and my friends all rushed up to hug me before running to the dance floor. There were balloons, and a DJ and a buffet, and hundreds of pictures of me on all the walls! I carried on crying for about an hour as I walked around the venue and saw more and more people. When I had finally finished crying I got to dance with everyone and talk to them. It was the best night ever and I can’t believe that my friends and family had kept it a secret from me for all of that time! I had no clue about any of it!
I am so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life who are kind enough to even say and decide that I deserved such an incredible birthday. I am so grateful to everyone who made it possible. I got to spend my birthday with everyone in my life who is important to me, all at the same time! It was perfection.
Next years birthday is gonna suck now.
